Feather saw it. Princess's daughter was Lindsay. She got up and headed to where she last ssaw Shadow. She hurried up. Only to she a look from Shadow. "Shadow, I have to tell you. I am not sure but I think Lindsay is Princess's daughter." She Rubbed up into his muzzle to help him absord any shock.

Lindsey screamed, "PUT ME DOWN YOU STUPID LITTLE GIRL!!!" She clawed the girl's shoulder and ran towards Feather and Shadow, he couldn't let them figure out her secret.

The little girl began to cry and told a local officer about the cat.

Mairenn tilted her ears. The sound of endless, annoying drama was in the air. "HAVE NO FEAR, CATS OF NEW YORK! CRIMEFIGHTER MAIRENN, ENDER OF CRIMES, AND HERO OF JUSTICE, IS HERE!" she cried with gusto. Galloping gallantly towards Blue and the female, she declared, "RENOUNCE YOUR VILE WORDS, CRIMINAL, OR FOREVER PAY THE CONSQUENCES! This meaning, of course, if you take it back, I'll distract the humans."

Shadow drew his muzzle back from Feather's rubbing.
"I should've known," He grumbled. He turned back towards Blue. "Come on," He said to the grey tom. "You and me are partners now, let's go get something to eat." Shadow padded the opposite direction. His tail dragging along the sidewalk.

The little girl pouted, but was glad that the police officer called for animal control. This time when the animal control arrived, they had tranquilizer guns to make the cats fall asleep.

Feather ran up to Shadow, her limp was better after her lap but not completely. "Whats wrong?" Her eyes were sincere and full of love when she spoke to shadow.

Animal Control returned, and they were ready to bring on the heat. They had gas bombs, so the cats would go blind, they had laughing gas, to make the cats fall asleep to death, and a protection suite.

Blue screamed, "Animal Control is back!"

Lindsey yawned and though to self, this should be easy getting rid of these humans. She pounced on their leg but animal control shot the cat with the tranquializer. She soon fell asleep.

"Run!" Shadow screeched, taking off down the sidewalk. The sun was setting so there wasn't that many people on the sidewalk allowing the cats to have a clean getaaway. Shadow kept running and turned into an alley. His heartbeat hammering, he crouched behind a trashcan.

Feather had limped very fast and was right behind Shadow.

"One cat done!" yelled a human putting the cat in a cage. Blue followed Shadow and hid behind the trashcan too. Animal control asked the police to close down the street he was on, they needed to get these cats and lab test them with a famous scientist, Dr. Mruto.

"Shadow, look!" She saw an open sewer grate. "We can hide down there!"

Blue agreed, "Great place to hide!" He hurried into the sewer.

Lindsey was sleeping, she was thinking of her mother. How beautiful she is.

Mairenn followed them into the icky sewer, though feeling confident in the fact that animal control services do not usually have gas bombs, tranquilizer guns, laughing gas, and protection suits.

Shadow followed Feather into swer gate. As they stepped down his nose was filled with a putrid scent. He wrinkled his nose and nearly gagged.

Feather licked Shadows ear gently. "I know its gross, but I don't think they'lll follow use down there..... Shadow....... what's wrong?" Feather has seen his eyes, they didn't look at her the way they used too...........

Animal Control saw the last cat enter the sewer, the human threw a smoke bomb in the gate. But it was too small for the animal control to get in, so they gave up.

Shadow sighed and looked at Feather.
"I don't love you anymore,"
With those few words we climbed out of the sewer and ran away.

Feather felt her mind whirr. And before she knew it she was hurring after Shadow feebly. Of course she coulnd't catch up. So she yowled at the top of her lungs, "YES I DO SHADOW! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!"

Shadow ignored her and continued running. Shadow thought to himself. She's confused. I never said that I she doesn't love me, I just don't love her. I love somebody else. His legs pushed faster and before he knew it he was standing in front of a familiar alleyway. Princess's.

Feather collapsed, her heart had been torn out, in the worst way possible. She stood up eyes heavily watering and just walked, finally she found herself near the dump.

"So you came back," A calm but icy voice meowed. Princess stepped out of the shadows. She was skinnier and her fur was matted in some areas. "I knew you and Feather could never work it out. Now,. your first task is to fetch my daughter, Lindsey."
Shadow nodded his eyes showing no emotion. As he padded back toward the area where Lindsey was asleep, his mind barely flickered back to Feather.

"Males," hissed Mairenn. "They always find ways to break your hearts. C'mon, sweetie. I'm friendly with a Thai food waiter that'll give me free food from time to time. You can come too, Blue."
